Family Trip to Dallas

Jonathan and I took Liam on a road trip to Dallas this weekend to visit some friends. We both took off Friday - Sunday to make sure that we could take our time getting down there and coming back. First stop on our agenda was to see Elise and Jeremiah. The were in from Canada this last week to tie up some loose ends before they move back in October!! yay!!! We drove down early Friday and just shopped around the mall and had a nice dinner before returning to the hotel for Liams bedtime routine. J and I are very strict about making sure we stick to his routine. Elise and Jer had no problem with turning in early. They were just excited to be able to see us and Liam! They have not seen him since he was 5 weeks old!! Saturday, we woke up early to pack our bags, check out of the hotel and go get some grub. We had brunch with Memosas (my fave).

After eating, we thgouth we would give the boys a chance to play at the PGA Golf superstore. It's huge inside and the boys wanted to try out several different clubs at the golf simulators, but Elise and I made the best of it. There's so much to look at, we just walked around and stayed busy. Liam was in the best of moods and let us do whatever we wanted...including trying out new looks on him! haha

His hat with a little extra hair! haha I swear he laughed, even tho he looks rather disgusted in the pic! LOL
When the PGA tour was over, we had to say goodbye to E and J. :( BUT not for long!! They will be back in Dallas from October thru Christams, so we are SOOOO looking forward to spending as much time as we can with them in those few short months before they move to London! We had to get a pic with the 'The General and his Wife' holding little man! bwahahahaha

Jeremiah, Elise and Liam. Say Cheese!
Next stop, was to visit Jaylynn and Aaron. They recently bought a new house outside of Dallas and haven't had the chance to see Liam since he was born. We drove to their house and played/fed Liam before going to dinner.

Jaylynn feeding Liam his daily dose of Prune Juice!
Looks like chocolate milk...too bad its not that good!
Later that evening we went to eat at Babes. Its terrible for you, but OH so good for your sould kind of food. You get two choices, Fried Chicken or Chicken Fried Steak. Its served family style with mashed potatoes, gravy, cream corn, salad and homemade biscuits. YUMMY!!!

Then, it was time to turn in the Little man for bath and bed. The big kids stayed up to talk and play catch up!! It was so nice. We don't get to see each other often enough. :)

The boys watching the Rangers play....not liking the camera!
Unfortunately, Aaron had to work this morning and couldn't be there to see us off, but we had such a good time visiting. Jaylynn helped watch Liam while J and I packed and loaded up the car for our very long drive back home to Tulsa. Before we could leave, we had to get lil man, happy as could be, in a pic with his auntie Jaylynn.

On our way home, we made one last stop in Ardmore to have an early lunch with my mom, Nana, my sister, Chad and the boys for my moms birthday. They don't get to see Liam very often either, since they all live a few hours away. We got our first picture of Nana with all of her grandkids.

Riley 7 y.o., Nana, Liam 4 months and Cooper 4 y.o.
Now, finally on our much needed and anticipated drive home, Liam managed to stay awake for a few minutes on the ride home. He made it almost 30 minutes!! So, here is a pic of him enjoying the car ride.

Such a good baby. Didnt fuss in the car until 3 hours into the ride!!
That was it for our fun filled weekend. We enjoyed it and loved taking Liam along for the ride. He is such a good traveler, which is awesome since we are huge travelers!!

Once we got home and unloaded we all needed to stretch our legs and get some fresh air. We decided to end the night with a walk in the neighborhood and an ice cream from the ice cream truck. :) We all needed the break from the car and house and being couped up.

Stretching out and eating my toy!!
Ice cream sandwiches...yum.
Well, I posted more in one night than I have in a month, so chances are you wont hear from me again until after Liams 4 month check up on Tuesday. :) Thanks for reading and traveling through our weekend with us!!

Peace
