Wow its been a while!

Well I believe the last time I blogged I was 38 weeks prego...ahaha I am now 14 weeks into Mommyhood! There are so many things to catch you up on, that I really dont know where to begin. Lets start with my 14 week old Linebacker :)

Liam Clyde Collis was born at 4:12 p.m. on April 27th, 2010. He broke the scales at 9 lbs 11 oz and 21 3/4 in long. The delivery was a slow painful process that has forever changed my outlook on life and YES I had an epi.

Moving on. :) He is growing soooo big soooo fast. He weighed 14 lbs 5 ozs at his 2 month check up and was 25 in long. He started rolling over from his tummy to his back at 3 - 4 weeks old. He has been holding his head up since he was about 10 weeks old and now sits in his bumbo seat very contently. We are working on rolling from back to tummy and sitting with the support of his hands. He broke the most beautiful smile my eyes have ever seen at 5 weeks old and gave me the sounds effects to go with it (giggle) at 9 weeks. He doesnt "giggle" regularly, you have to work for it, but he does laugh and TALK! Oh my is he a talker. He yells and screams on ocassion as well, but will really look at you and talk his little jaws off. He is in love with his hands...and everything else within reach of his mouth, except his feet. He doesnt seem too interested in them just yet, but he does try to kick toys above him and such.
All in all, he is breaking records and growing too fast. The only thing he doesnt do well right now is sleep. He was sleeping like a dream baby very early on, but has decided to boycott all sleep routines. :( We will figure it out tho.

As for life in general. I came back to work at 6 weeks out and its hard somedays but at the same time it is a nice break. We have made several new buddies around our new neighborhood. Courtney and Isaiah are our immediate neighbors to the west and they have twin boys, Hudson and Griffin, that are 5 weeks older than Liam. Our neighborhood better be on the watch out in a few years when they are terrorizing the place!! haha Courtney is a PT and turns out we have so much in common, we have just taken to one another and are now running buddies. Since we both just had babies, we decided there wouldnt be anyone better to get training with then another new mommy. We are now on week 5 of the Couch to 5K running program. :) Our first race will be Sept 25 at the Race for the Cure in Tulsa. Cant wait!!!

We have another set of friends that just got married in May and moved into our neighborhood (with a little twisting of the arm from us lol). They live 2 blocks down and they have 3 kids. Agest 10, 6 and 4, but all 3 of the kids LOVE Liam to death. Krista is a life saver and keeps Liam for us some afternoons when my mother in law has to go to work. She has also helped convince me it takes a village to raise a child and I should NOT feel bad when I have to call on someone to help me. (this has been the biggest struggle for me.)

I have recently gotten back in touch with a few friends from High School (via facebook and our ever so fun alumni softball game!!) and am so excited to be close to them again and hang out. Its so much easier now that many of us share priorities. AND I love seeing their little ones grow up!!

Other than that, I keep myself too busy and dont get to enjoy life as much as I wish, so I have made a plan to slow down. I have been going going going so much that I literally made myself sick from exhaustion. Im learning to pace myself and that I can still see and do all that I want, I just have to space them out a little. :) If you know me well...you know that taking this long break from vacations have really put a damper on my soul!! But I guess Baby Liam was worth it! haha Now I DONT want to hear everyone tell me how my vacations will hault and things will never be the same...blah blah blah kiss my butt cause I already have a Mexico and London vacay waiting for me in 2011!!!!!!!!!! woo hoo!!! 2012...Hawaii? haha I doubt it, but its a thought. :) Jonathan and I decided a long time ago that traveling was what we wanted to do and we would never give that up. We are going to do a few last big hoorahs this next year and leave Liam home, but when he is big enough to go and actually remember/enjoy the vacation we fully intend on taking him along for a few. My goal in life is to fill up my passport. :) I have a long way to go, but am off on the right track! I want Liam to see the world too and will do everything in my power to give him the opportunities to do so. We LOVE vacationing with friends, so if anyone is ever interested, just ask about the details!
P.S. Mexico next summer - will be looking for anyone and everyone that wants to join!! London, however will be just me and J.

OK...I PROMISE I will get back on here in the next day or two and post some pictures. Liam is pretty much my life and that may be all you see or hear of but I'll do my best to post some house pics and some other functions. :)

Until then...ta ta
